Jasper Igusa
Jasper Igusa joined the Tucson Symphony Orchestra as Oboe/English horn in the Fall of 2025. He appeared with the TSO for eight concerts in their 2024–2025 season while completing his final year at the Mannes School of Music in New York City pursuing a Performance Diploma.
Previously, Jasper held a three-year Fellowship position with The Orchestra Now (TON), a pre-professional training orchestra in upstate New York, where he was featured on three recording releases, including a collection of world premiere violin concertos written for and performed with Gil Shaham. He holds additional degrees from San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Northwestern University.
Jasper’s principal teachers are Ryan Roberts, Russ DeLuna, Scott Hostetler, and Jane Marvine. He grew up in a musical family in Baltimore, Maryland, and in his spare time enjoys baking and swimming.
