Native Pennsylvanian Robert Warner began his musical studies in piano and violin at a young age with faculty of Bucknell University. As an undergraduate at the University of Rochester he focused his studies on music and mathematics, earning bachelor’s degrees in both subjects. During this time he began taking harpsichord lessons at the Eastman School of Music and exploring Baroque string technique, deciding eventually to continue his musical education as a a graduate student at Stony Brook University. There he studied under renowned harpsichord teacher Arthur Haas, served as manager and assistant director of the school's Baroque ensemble and earned a master's degree in music history as well as a doctorate in harpsichord performance.

Upon graduating from Stony Brook, Robert was accepted into the Historical Performance program at Juilliard where he took harpsichord lessons with Peter Sykes, Richard Egarr and Beatrice Martin while also performing extensively as a continuo keyboardist and violist in projects led by Jordi Savall, William Christie and others. He currently resides in New York City and is once again splitting his time between music and math as he maintains an active performing schedule while working as a math tutor. His musical engagements this season have included concerts with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Boston Baroque and Upper Valley Baroque. He is also an original member of Musicivic Baroque and Relic Ensemble and the primary harpsichordist for both groups.
