Praised by the Washington Post for her "sweet" and "limpid" tone, violinist Sarah D'Angelo is a sought after performer of chamber music in both the DC metropolitan area, and across the nation As a principal and founding musician of the Inscape Chamber Orchestra, Ms. D'Angelo is featured prominently on "Sprung Rhythm," Inscape's 2014 Grammy nominated album. Many of Inscape's nearly 40 world premiere commissions were written for Ms. D'Angelo, and her unique and subtle interpretations of contemporary music. Currently, Ms. D'Angelo performs with the Eclipse Chamber Orchestra and is a member of the American Pops Orchestra.  She also appears frequently with many of the region's finest performing ensembles including the PostClassical Ensemble, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, and the Delaware Symphony. Ms. D'Angelo made her solo debut with orchestra at age 12 with the New York Symphonic Ensemble. She has performed across the US, Russia, Italy, and Austria in venues such as Tchaikovsky Hall, The Kennedy Center, The National Gallery of Art, and Seiji Ozawa Hall. She has spent recent summers performing at the Wintergreen Performing Arts Festival and the Pikes Falls Chamber Music Festival in Jamaica, VT. Ms. D'Angelo received her BM from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University and her MM at the University of Maryland. Her principal teachers have included Carol Rodland, Joan Kwuon, Herbert Greenberg, and Violaine Melançon.
